Learn to build no-code apps

Get listed at Apple

The Holy Grail of app development is to get your app listed in Apple’s App Store. It used to be a difficult process but over the last year or so, thanks to AI, the process of preparing your app has been simplified. In fact, in a pinch, it can be done without a Mac and we’ll show you how.

Android support

Something like 75% of all apps are Android apps so although we are Mac heavy, we haven’t forgotten about Android! One nice thing about Android is that a developer license is only $25 compared to Apple’s $99. Also, just like Apple apps, the process of creating and distributing them has been greatly simplified.

Web apps

Web apps are more or less just highly interactive websites, nothing too crazy but they are not eligible for distribution at the app stores. They are, however, an excellent way to start your journey and they can be built alongside your Apple and Android apps. They work on all phones, computers, iPads, etc.

Lots of patience

If you ever need help, it is not a problem, you can reach me directly at rich@zappedapps.com.au. I’m happy to guide you as best I can.

Don’t waste time and money building something that just isn’t suited for a given platform.

We teach three platforms

We’ll show you the ropes at Emergent, Lovable, and Base44. They are all extremely good at what they do but they all have their quirks. I’ll show you how to figure out which one to use without wasting your time building an app that just won’t work at a given provider.

Base44

Our very first and still well loved platform. Base44 is very good for beginners. This is a great place to build an app because it is owned by Wix and they really, really know what they are doing. Base44 can handle pretty much anything you can throw at it. This is where I built Learn Morse Code. (Note, this is a web app meaning it will work on all devices but until I convert it, it isn’t eligible for the app stores.)

Lovable

Lovable is good if your app needs an artistic touch but your art skills are terrible. It is very good at building complex apps and it is very good at handling APIs. (Don’t worry if you don’t know what an API is, it is just a way to add more functionality to your app.) This is where I built Bush Permits which helps people avoid fines in Outback Australia.

Emergent

I freakin’ LOVE Emergent but man, it can be expensive. Having said that, it is very good at building complex, nice looking apps without making costly mistakes. It is very good at getting things right the first time. Darvas Box Hunter is a stock screener I built with Emergent to help traders hunt down Darvas Boxes.

Pssss… yes, you can even make simple but fun games like Seahorse Sanctuary, my seahorse aquarium simulation app.
